The launch event for Pathways Into Children's Publishing took off at Conway Hall in London on Tuesday last week. It was incredible to be in a room filled with so many creative people!
From the panelists including representatives from Penguin, Harper Collins, Simon & Schuster and the previous Pathways alumni who shared their knowledge and experiences of the industry to the insightful conversations circulating the room.
Imposter syndrome was my plus one for the evening, but I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the other mentee's (past and present), talking about publishing, illustration and where the industry is heading, raising so many important topics of discussion.
A huge thank you to Pop-Up Projects for organising such a brilliant event and for creating such a welcoming sense of community and approachable space, also to everyone who took their time to talk with me and share their knowledge and experiences.
I'm beyond grateful to be part of such a brilliant cohort of talented people and look forward to seeing where this adventure takes me!
If you'd like to find out more, The Bookseller wrote a great article about the event here.
