Our high street desperately needed a local literary hub, Our Bookshop opened and with it came the first ever Tring Book Festival. Knowing that this is set to be an annual event is so exciting!
Running from 8th – 17th November 2019, it featured a series of events including debates, interviews and workshops with bestselling authors, poets and literary laureates. It also featured an opportunity for me to meet an agent to discuss a few of my picture book ideas and I got so much out of it. I met with Donald Winchester from Watson Little who was very generous with his time, advice and suggestions for my books. It gave me a lot to think about and improve on, and has left me so excited about moving forward with my stories. The Tring Book Festival is another reason I love living where I do!
