Paddington: The Story of a Bear

I'm very lucky to be 40mins by train away from The British Library and am constantly checking their exhibitions page to make sure I don't miss anything I would regret.

I was so excited to see Paddington: The Story of a Bear exhibition would be in the British Library Galleries and booked a ticket as soon as I could. It also coincided with a very 'bear-y' themed project I'd recently taken on that I can't wait to share more about..so it was a great excuse for a research outing!

I've always loved the Paddington stories and was fascinating walking through the origins of the stories, the development of the illustration of Paddington and the Brown family.

Peggy Fortnums illustrations (among so many others) were particularly inspiring.

The five year old me really enjoyed the interactive projection of Paddington causing chaos at the breakfast table.

The exhibition runs until the 31st October and I'd highly recommend a visit if you can!

You can read more about the exhibition and book tickets here.
