National Year of Reading 2026

This year I'm so proud to support the National Literacy Trust's National Year of Reading campaign. Bloomsbury are founding supporters and reached out to ask if I would help in the mission to get everyone going all in on the things they love to do by reading more about them!

Whether it's cooking, sports, gaming, crafting whatever it is you're into, start reading about it - anything counts! The instruction manual for a new board game, a recipe book - or combine interests! I was given a Sims themed cookbook for Christmas and absolutely love it, the intros are so funny. Have we been speaking Simlish while making recipe's from the book - absolutely yes.

Reading about the things we love and reading in general should be fun and pressure free! You don't need to tackle a tome or read all the classics, just throw yourself into more of what you love and pick up a magazine, book, instruction manual, recipe book and go all in on what you love to do.
