After submitting our final work for our literature brief 5 project with the Pathways Into Children's Publishing programme (you can read more about it here), and hearing the news that unfortunately Pathways would no longer be running, Dylan and the 23-24 cohort came together to organise an exhibition to celebrate our work and the incredible experience we'd had with Pathways over the last two years.

A crowd-funding campaign was created and together with some amazing support from London Book Fair, people in the children's publishing industry, the creative community, friends and family we managed to assemble, fund and exhibit our work, including printing copies of our group portfolio book and a set of postcards each showcasing an illustration from the literature brief 5 work we'd created.

The cohort took it in turns to attend the exhibition and the day that I spent there was just so much fun. It was wonderful to celebrate our achievements together, the cohort was so supportive of eachother and we were all so excited to be there.

It was lovely meeting new people and catching up with everyone. I met with Caroline Thompson from Arena agency (my 2021 AOI mentor) and the publishing team I was working on a commissioned project with over the course of literature brief 5.

It was a fantastic day full of support, encouragement and a wonderful way to end such an amazing experience.
